How to Use Sandalwood Essential Oil

Sandalwood is an earthy smelling essential oil that carries a variety of uses. Whether you want to use it for health or beauty reasons, or want to use it for household tasks, it can prove to be quite effective. Take a look below at 10 uses for sandalwood essential oil that you can try!

1. Feel More Relaxed.

Place a few drops of sandalwood oil in your hand and inhale. It can help you feel more relaxed and at ease! This is a great oil to keep in the desk or car when stressful moments arise.

2. Breathe Easier.

Massage a few drops of sandalwood over the chest to help support the respiratory system and allow you to breathe a little more clearly.

3. Find Clarity.

The scent of sandalwood and help evoke clarity of the mind. You can either diffuse it or apply it to pulse points. This is great to try when you are decision making or feel like you are dealing with a foggy head.

4. Say Goodbye to Dry Hair.

Mix a few drops of sandalwood oil with a few drops of coconut oil. Rub the oils between your palms to heat them and apply to the dry areas of your hair.

5. Fall Asleep Fast.

Place a drop of sandalwood oil on your forehead and try to relax. The oil will get to work quickly helping you feel more at ease and ready to sleep.

6. Soothe Dry and Irritated Skin.

Sandalwood can help promote a clear, healthy complexion. It can also sooth the irritation of distressed skin. Just add a dab to your fingers and apply to the affected area.

9. Have a More Effective Work Out.

A few drops of sandalwood oil on your pulse points can help you stay focused and energized, giving you a more effective work out.

10. Soothe Irritated Skin.

Sandalwood is ideal for applying to skin as it can soothe the irritation of distressed skin.
